Naming in Prayer There are many types of prayer and many ways of praying. In this letter I would particularly like to encourage one way, which is to use people’s names more as we pray for them and to be specific in what we are asking for. Let us look at an occasion when one person appealed Jesus to do something
for him In Luke’s Gospel, there is a record of Jesus walking down
the road one day, when he came across a blind man who asked Jesus to have
pity on him. Even though it was obvious to anyone nearby that the man
was blind and that he was probably going to ask Jesus to make him see,
Jesus still asked him, It is our joy as a Church of England church that we pray for the entire parish, not just those who attend church. Our problem is that we often don’t know the details of what to pray - the exact thing that needs to be put into words - please do tell us so we can! There are several ways of asking
We are keen to pray not only for people but also for the businesses and organisations in our parish. Please let us know what the needs are for these as well. May the Lord hear our prayers,
